Prolly wrong category, but oh well.

Anyway, this is the next installment in my collection of... textile art...?

I found these sweet-ass shoes for 5 bucks! I wanted to buy them when they were originally 20, but I just happened to come accross them the other day and they were like, 5. Thank God for J.C.Penny's.

Anyway, unlike my last shoes, these were done in marker. Kinda like my canvas tote. Actually, exactly like my canvas tote. But not like my last shoes. Which were acrylic paint.

I didn't know what to put on these... I liked the idea I had for the tote though, which was "put a bunch of random made-up characters on there and make it look like there's some sort of story behind them, but there really isn't" so I wouldn't have to explain it to people who asked. XD
But shoes... shoes seem like the kind of thing that should have a purpose. I don't know exactly what made me do Futurama shoes, but I have been pretty excited what with the movie that just came out and the new seasons that will start next year. I guess that's it.

OH, and also I really like the color scheme of the show. Ridiculous colors that you'd never see in real life, but it's slightly believable. At least, more believable than the color scheme of the Simpsons, which is like... "Lets have a 5 year old girl pick out the colors!" and so you get these ridiculous things like PINK CARS and ORANGE HOUSES, but I guess that works okay in a world where the people are yellow.

Futurama's more like "Lets have a 5 year old girl pick out the colors, but then have a dog shit on them so that they're darker and grungier looking in the places with shit follicles". If that makes sense.

But anyway, that's why I did a cityscape around the edges... I like the building colors. But I don't think I got it down. Plus the RIDICULOUSLY ORANGE SKY throws it all off. And Nibbler just sort of thrown in there all out of place and tiny. That was a mistake. D :

Anyway, I didn't want to copy straight from the style of the show, becuase that's just not who I am. So I tried to make it a bit more stylized and detailed, while still keeping some tradmark things like the freakish Groening overbite.

I didn't put all the main-ish characters on there though... 'cause I didn't feel like it or becuase I didn't feel like there was enough about them I could change and make my own.

Oh, and they're at a weird angle, if you were trying to figure out why they look like midgets. Or... grunka lunkas. Some shit. I don't know. XD
