SIXBYSIX: Dynamite by real-faker SIXBYSIX: Dynamite by real-faker
I'm on a Bob kick. Forgive me.

Brother From Another Series. He's trying to prevent the damn from being blown up by his bro. At some point, I believe when Cecil was about to toss Bart over the cliff, Lisa yells, and Bob does this little jumpy movement where he throws the wire-cutters up in the air and fumbles to catch them. Like he was startled or something.

X3 Sometimes they just do these little tiny details with the animation. They mean absolutely nothing, but they're adorable.

Anyway, yeah. His skin was actually supposed to be kind of yellowish, but I dont' really have the right color. :/
Ah well, Bob is paler than most of them. Prolly 'cause he's in prison so much?

"Oh, great. I suppose that when a woman passes by, it will be my job to lead in the hooting. `Oh, yeah! Shake it, madam. Capital knockers!'"

THE END.

Dying prismas, a sharpie, and "auto-correcting" color in photoshop, aka "TOTAL FAIL BUT LOOKS BETTER THAN THE CRAPPY PHOTO YOU TOOK".

Enjoy!

Me neither, but I think it's something you can opt for when you first post a deviation. However, if this pic is under the category of fan art, then DA doesn't give you that option. You'd have to change the category first.

What about the original, though? Do you still have it?

oHHHHH, huh. I never noticed that. I mean, I've noticed the print option before but I didn't notice you couldn't sell prints of fanart... although in retrospect it makes perfect sense. xD I couuuuld change it I guess.
And I do still have the original!
Actually, if you really want I could send it to you.

I'm poor so I can't afford much myself, but I love making art offers. ^_^ How about $10 plus a couple of Sideshow Bob drawings of your choice? And/or Cecil. I'll draw them doing whatever you want! ;)

Haha, that sounds cool! Whatever works for you. : D I totally getcha' on the poor thing. XD I'm gettin' there myself. Haha. But yeah, that sounds great!

Hmmmm...
as for Bob drawingsss... I'm not picky! I love anything Bob in general. Although for the record I'm not incredibly fond of the newer episodes where they've tied in all these characters and family members with him.... not that I have any problems with his wife/kid/mom/dad/so on and such forth.... it just bothers me that they introduce these PRETTY SIGNIFICANT characters and then you just never hear about them again! XC Very frustrating. So... assuming you know your episodes (feel free to slap me if you don't know them by name!) Anything prior to 'the Italian Bob' is great! And to narrow that down even further, anything prior to 'Day of the Jackanapes' is even greater, I think. X)
And I don't know if I'd go as far as to say I like the pairing BORT, but I do rather like the dynamics of Bob's relationship with Bart.
And Cecil's always great too. : D

Ha... hope that helps maybe narrow it down a bit! But really I'm not picky. Anything you feel like drawing is totally fine by me!

I just noticed you posted this on my 29th birthday! YAY! Too bad I didn't even know about this picture until AFTER my 30th. LOL oh well.

Now, where do I begin on this masterpiece? Hmmm... the fact that it's drawn on a notebook page alone is pretty cool. Dunno why, but I like seeing art in a raw context like this.

Secondly, and mostly, the style is just... I can't find words for it. AMAZING is an understatement. Your use of colors, the thick lines, the overall feel of looking at a Bob crossover into a whole different cartoon... just awesome.

But what I love most are his expression and hands. Every little detail, like the way his head is tilted, the way you drew his eyes and mouth, and those hands again -- it just all adds up to sheer awesomeness!

One of my favorite little Bob moments comes a little later in this episode. When Lisa is defending Bob from Wiggum, he gives her this little smile that makes me melt inside. :aww:

Darn it, Bob! For a homicidal maniac, you sure can be pretty darn cute (and I wouldn't have it any other way)!

(and the capital knockers scene is one of the greatest sarcastic moments in TV.)

I also love when they get in the car and Cecil tells Bob to yell "You'll regret this" or whatever it was... and then he just has this 'HOSHIT' expression as he realizes what he just said. "Oh, great now they'll think I'M the crazy one...."

Dying prismas are prismacolor markers that are almost dead. XD I have some good markers, and most of my markers are DECENT.... but a lot of them are near death. I go through 'em pretty fast, which I dont' think is natural. Maybe there's refills that I should be buying... rather than going out and getting new markers....

Anyway, they're not exactly cheap, but they're a lot more affordable than Copics. They take some time to get used to, but if you wanna try it, go for it! Once you get the hang of it they're pretty cool. If I were you and you really wanted to try some, I'd go out and buy a couple markers seprately (rather than a whole set)... some good skin tones and light colors perhaps... and just practice with them a little, I guess. They make all kinds of really bright colors, but I can never really find a good use for 'em. You gotta start light.

Anyway, thanks!

Nest to Hank Scorpio, Bob has always been my favorite Groening creation.

Partly it's my weakness for snarky middle-aged Englishmen (I hated Snape before Alan Rickman stepped into his shoes :meow:), but mostly it's because his arc is so brilliantly written. You could string them all together and watch them like a movie!

"If it isn't my mortal enemy...BART!
And his sister Lisa, to whom I am fairly indifferent."

HANK SCORPIOOOOOOOOO
ERRGGGHHH I haven't seen that episode in so long. I must watch it.

Hahah, good point.
Actually, I just got done doing that tonight. The most recent Bob ep from last season kind of bothered me though. Mostly cause it wasn't really a Bob episode, they set it up to LOOK like it was going to be, but then it ended up being a Patty and Selma episode. :/ And Bob is just hanging out with Krusty like they're bffs and having sleepovers and stuff? Maybe I missed something Somewhere.

But aside from that, they flow into one another quite well, and there's always a backstory to connect the events. I like that almost every time he's in a different prison though. That islanded alcatraz-type thing, then medium-security, then minimum-security (Lol, the gate was open!), then Maximum-security (even his hair points are chained up?), and then... I don't remember. Italy. Or something. XD

Yeah, it kind of took over for me too. But the Simpsons raised me, so I can't just abandon it. And I kind of wish I could stop, but I CAN'T. I've seen every episode so I can't stop now. XD The older ones are definitely much better though, so perhaps you have the upper hand here.

I think it was like.. Maybe two and a half years ago? XD
I totally forgot.. I just remember that whenever it was, I was sick, and watched near all of the episodes in two weeks. It was crazy.

Yeah, same. I mean, about it raising me. <n<
We still have like..six seasons of it somewhere. I should have a marathon of sorts. c:
I think I saw in response to someone else's comment you linked them to a list of SB episodes, so maybe I'll use that as a reference. 8D

I haven't seen any of the new episodes for a couple years. They're still makin' them? x__x Crazy. I don't even wanna know how many seasons there are now, dude. XD

Oh yes. Yesyes, there's a response with a list. AND a site to watch 'em on!
Although the last episode on the list isn't so much oriented around Bob, but he's in it.

I know you don't want to know, but they are in season 21 right now. The Simpsons and I are always in the same season as each other.
I know, it's crazy.
To be honest, the last couple years haven't particularly thrilled me. There's a really good one here and there, but I think it's long past it's heyday. Still, I love it too much to stop watching. D : It's a curse, really.

C':

Oh, I was kidding about not wanting to know. I admit I was actually really curious and was probably going to look it up if you hadn't told me. XD
Dang. That's crazy. 21 seasons? Makes me wonder how long it'll go on for..
I know how that is. << I mean, I don't actively watch it, mainly because the only rooms with cable on the TV are either always frigid, or, well, my parent's room and they're always busy like reading when it's on. D;
So my life sucks a little, there. Ohwell.

Hahaha, awesome. XD
Yeah, I wonder too....
there's this episode they did awhile back ... it was a clip show, actually, and at the end of the episode they sung a song that sounded a lot like Billy Joel's "We didn't start the fire". It was called "They'll never stop the Simpsons", and listed off various events that'd happened over the history of the show. Towards the end, the lyrics go,
"Have no fears, we've got stories for years, like... Marge becomes a robot! Maybe Moe gets a cellphone; has Bart ever owned a bear? Or, how 'bout a crazy wedding? Where something happens and do-do-do-do-do..... sorry for the clipshow! Have no fears, we've got stories for years!"

And all I can say is the day that I see Marge becomes a robot, I will know that they've truly TRULY lost it.

WOMAN! It's on Fox! Cable is no excuse! Those other reasons, however, are legit.

Of course I don't blame you SLASH kind of envy you for not watching it in recent times. Perhaps it's best to just keep the fond memories you have. XD

Aw, yeah, that was a good one. I like the stories about Homer's childhood and his mom and all.
But seriously, when he goes downstairs to check on her (I think he made her a drawing of a turkey using his hand or something? XD) And she's sitting in the recliner and he's talking to her and she doesn't answer.....
And then it just shows the shot of the house from the outside, with the chimney smoke....
and he's like "...mom?"

SOBBBBBBB I swear. The timing. Is just.... RLK;JG;HGF so perfect. When they want to make something sad, they do it super-effectively.
