As I've told you already, I think. I promise, page 6 will be much better. I'm aallllllmost finished with it, it's just that... WELL SEE, for some reason I'm putting an insane amount of effort forth to commemorate a miniscule feat. DON'T WORRY, YOU'LL SEE. And it'll be well worth it, I think. That's what I keep telling myself anyway. ANYWAY ANYWAY
The way this page flows was sort of inspired by some of 's work. This, in particular: [link] I don't know why, but when I first saw this, my mind was blown. It's like... I dunno, it seemed sort of like a mindfuck. Almost theatrical movement. Like the camera is zooming backwards across the bride, but then flips upside-down so you can see whose standing on the other side. I DON'T KNOW, IT WAS JUST AWESOME OKAY.
And it had never occurred to me before, but as far as digital art goes, we can TOTALLY use length to our advantage by drawing in a certain perspective and making sure it's long enough so that it forces people to scroll. We can achieve a neat little effect similar to a camera panning.
Whether or not I achieved that, I don't know. It certainly seemed a lot cooler in my head. Oh well. I just needed to give ya'll something to look at while the narrator narrates a little more. This information is DETRIMENTAL I GUESS and needs to be said up front rather than woven into the story for readers to pick up on over time. I'M SIMPLY NOT THAT COMPLEX OR CLEVER, YOU SEE. But I certainly didn't want a page with just words. So here. Here's this... big ol.... toilet bowl...
OH YEAH Not sure if you guys have ever seen one of these before, but it's supposed to be like... like sometimes waterparks have these slides that look like giant upside-down Hershey's Kisses. You spin around and around like a record baby until you plop out of the bottom like a turd. It's so awesome. There's water underneath, btw. YOU DON'T JUST DROP INTO CONCRETE OR SOMETHING.
So yeah. Dying is an intricate system of tubes (MUCH LIKE THE INTERNET) that sort out where you're supposed to go. And one of those waterslide toiletbowl turdamajiggers. Just for fun.
I love the humor here, its dark and clever. I also like the fact that it flows like a water slide, its unique and makes it easy to follow it down. Great job!
Oh, shit... probably. Haha. Daaaamn. I don't think I even spellchecked myself before I did this. But that's a common mistake I make. You're probably the first to notice... good eye! XD And thank you!
I adore this page. It flows brilliantly. It has a bit of humor mixed in with a beautiful design that feels serious and captivating.
But even in my moments of having my mind blown I couldn't help but notice...
Isn't 'necessarilly' spelt with only one 'L'? 'Unnecessarily'?
IF THIS HAS BEEN POINTED OUT AND I AM BLIND, IGNORE ME.
And thank you!
*SPELLING ERROR NOTED* *Zooming in...* etc.
You're welcome. :3
Thank you for filling my lol-quota for the next two weeks. XD XD XD
And the page is beautifully done.
